Summary:
This position is responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, supplies, and utensils.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Responsibilities:
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans.
• Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Polishing or cleaning prep tables.
• Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors.
• Clean garbage cans.
• Sort and remove trash, place it in designated pickup areas.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
• Receive and store supplies.
• Prepare and package individual place settings.
• Load or unload trucks that deliver or pick up food or supplies.
• Assist in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef and other managers as needed.
Qualifications:
• One (1) year of restaurant experience required, country club or event kitchen preferred.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated professionalism and member / client service skills.
• Ability to absorb information quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate proactive behavior; especially with issues concerning safety, health, and customer needs.
• Approachable and warm demeanor.
• High energy level with a sense of urgency.
