Position Summary:
A country club golf groundskeeper maintains the course's turf, landscaping, and hazards to ensure optimal playability and aesthetic appeal. The Greenskeeper is responsible for supporting the maintenance and care of the golf course, including turf, landscaping, and course features, to ensure excellent playing conditions. This role involves performing daily maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and assisting with agronomic practices under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent. The Greenskeeper contributes to creating a safe, clean, and championship-quality environment for members and guests.

Full-time position, including weekends and holidays. Flexibility in work hours is needed.

The Greenskeeper performs the majority of duties outdoors on the golf course and surrounding grounds. The position requires working in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, wind, and direct sunlight. Work may be performed on wet, uneven, sloped, or rough terrain and around ponds, irrigation systems, landscaping, and other course features.
The employee regularly works around motorized maintenance equipment, landscaping tools, irrigation equipment, fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf-care products. The work environment may include exposure to dust, dirt, grass clippings, pollen, insects, chemicals, fumes, vibration, and moderate to loud equipment noise. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
This is a physically active position requiring frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting or carrying equipment and materials. The employee must be able to safely operate assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with established safety procedures.
Because golf course maintenance is generally performed before or around daily play, the position may require early-morning hours, weekends, holidays, and occasional schedule changes based on weather, course conditions, tournaments, or operational needs. Employees must remain alert to golfers, golf carts, maintenance vehicles, and other employees while working throughout the course.
